NW6 transport campaigners recently made a deputation to Camden Council to pressurise TfL and Conservative Mayor Boris Johnson to listen to the concerns of residents and traders in North West London.

Closures on the Jubilee, Metropolitan and Overground lines have left parts of London such as West Hampstead, Kilburn and Brondesbury completely cut off at weekends, and the transport chaos looks set to continue well into 2010.

West Hampstead and Kilburn transport campaigners have hit out at London’s Tory Mayor Boris Johnson over TfL’s weekend closures, which have been hitting residents and traders in NW6.

NW6 Weekend Tube Closures Campaign [updated Monday 30th November] PDF Print E-mail

NW6 has had enough of weekend underground closures. TfL needs to stop killing NW6 and give us a 7-day tube servce.

Monday Update: early on Monday morning, we gathered outside the TfL HQ in the wind, rain and cold  to hand out leaflets to TfL employees. We explained our 9 demands (listed on this site), and haned out an eight-page document containing all the comments from local residents who filled in our petition.

For most of 2009 both the Jubilee Line and the Overground North London Line have been closed at weekends - the Metropolitan line is often closed too - and now the works are overrunning.

NW6 has had enough.
